This month Motorola released stable Android 11 updates for Moto G8, Moto G8 Power, Motorola Edge+, Razr 5G. It means this month is lucky for Motorola users as we don’t see frequent updates from Motorola. Motorola does not have a good reputation when it comes to regular Android updates. But now Motorola is stepping out of the bad zone as they also released the stable Android 11 update for Motorola Edge. Here you will know about the Motorola Edge Android 11 update.
Just about a couple of days ago Edge+ users started receiving the Android 11 update. And if you have questions like why not for Edge. Well, finally the stable Android 11 update is here for the Motorola Edge. Motorola Edge is still the top-notch series from the OEM and it includes two phones, the standard Edge and Edge+. Last year Motorola announced the list of Motorola phones eligible for Android 11. But the list lacks the timeline of when the update will arrive.
Motorola is slowly releasing stable updates one by one. And luckily it arrives for the Motorola Edge. The Android 11 update is rolling out for the Brazilian dual SIM variant which comes with model number XT2063-3-DS. Motorola Edge Android 11 stable updates come with build version RPD31.Q4U-39-26-4. The update is available for users and it weighs around 1.2GB.

Now let’s talk about new features and changes that you get to see in the very latest update. The latest update upgrades the Android security patch to February 2021 which is not the latest but useful. It comes with most of the Android 11 features such as Chat Bubbles, change in Notification panel & volume controls, improved performance, and many other features. Although the official changelog is not available for now, you can expect the mentioned features.
As of now, the update is currently available in Brazil at least on the data reported. But users from other regions will also receive the update soon. And if it is already available in your region for the same model number then you can expect the OTA update via notification. If not then you can check it manually by going to Settings > System > Software Update. And if you see the latest update, click on Download & Install button to get the update.
Luckily the latest Android 11 based recovery ROM is available for Motorola Edge. Users can use it for manual installation. But we don’t recommend flashing the ROM if you are new to it.
Before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, make sure to charge your smartphone to at least 30%.
