While most smartphone OEMs are focused on releasing the Android 14 beta for eligible phones, Motorola is still rolling out the Android 13 update for pending devices. Recently, the American smartphone maker, Motorola, has started rolling out the Android 13 software upgrade for the Moto Edge Plus 2022.
Motorola pushes the new software to Edge+ (2022) with the T1SH33.35-23-22 software version. It is the first major software upgrade for the smartphone, it will require a big chunk of data for downloading. Make sure you have enough storage as well as data on your device to install the new update.
For the time being, the Android 13 update for Moto Edge Plus 2022 is currently rolling out in the US and Canada. It is expected to be available to all users in due course as the rollout continues. Some users have already received the new software, here’s a screenshot shared by a Twitter user, @Turnerl04.
In terms of features and changes, Motorola is pushing the Android 13 upgrade to the eligible models with features including revamped personalization panel with the support of more color palettes, updated notifications panel, revamped Music Player, Bluetooth LE audio support, per-app language feature, app notifications permission, and many more. It also brings the April 2023 monthly security patch.
At the time of writing, we are not aware of the stability of the new update. I suggest you wait for a few days for an incremental upgrade and then install it on your phone, or if you are in a hurry, then you can take a backup of important data and then install it on your phone.
If you are a proud Moto Edge+ 2022 user and want to update to the Android 13, then you can navigate to Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and check for the new updates. As it is currently in a rolling phase, you can wait for a few days for the official OTA notification. It is a big upgrade you can connect your phone to WiFi to cut down the download time.
If the update is not available, you can wait for a few days or update it manually. Before updating your phone make sure to charge it to at least 50% and also make a backup of important data.
