As the Android 13 rollout has already started, there are still devices pending for the Android 12 update. Well, now there is at least one device less on the list which is the Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Motorola Edge 20 Lite is now receiving a stable Android 12 update.
Motorola phones are known for near stock experience. But the late update is a matter of great concern. It’s been almost a year since Android 12 was released, but there are still many phones yet to receive the update, including some Motorola phones.
A few days back we shared that Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is getting Android 12 update. And now almost two weeks later the Motorola Edge 20 Lite is finally receiving the stable Android 12 in Europe, to be precise in the UK. It may soon be available in other parts of Europe as well.
The update comes with build number S2RK32.92-11-21. Thanks to a Reddit user u/exsqueeezme for sharing the update screenshot containing the required information. As per the screenshot, the update also brings the August 2022 Android security patch to Motorola Edge 20 Lite.
If you are waiting for the update, you will finally be able to experience Android 12 features. The Android 12 update brings a lot of new features including the Material You dynamic theming that changes the accent color and icon color as per the wallpaper set on the home screen. It also comes with improved privacy.
Other features include an updated notification panel, new widgets, and a bunch of security and privacy features. Apart from that, the update comes with a slew of customization options such as font style, size, colors, icon shapes, layouts, wallpapers, and more from the home screen menu.
If you are a Motorola Edge 20 Lite user in Europe you will get the update soon. It is a staged rollout which means it will take time to reach all users. You can check for the update in Settings > System > Advanced > System updates. And once the update is available tap the Download and Install button to get the update on your device.
It is important to take a full backup of your phone before updating it and charge it to at least 50%.
