Just a few days back, Motorola kick-started the Android 15 rollout for Razr 40 Ultra. Today, the company has extended the availability of the anticipated Android 15 update to the Razr 40 (non-ultra model). At the time of writing, the update is in a rollout phase and will be available to everyone in a matter of time.
Motorola pushes the new software upgrade to the Razr 40 with V1TH35H.41-24-6 version number. It is the second major OS upgrade for the smartphone. The first major upgrade, the Android 14 update was released in July last year, and now, after a six-month gap, the Razr 40 is receiving its next major software upgrade.
The update is currently rolling out in European countries. The American mobile cellular network, Rogers, already confirmed that the US variant, Moto Razr+ 2023, will receive the update after January 29. If you own the U.S. variant, it’s a good time to back up your important data and prepare your device for the major software upgrade.
Talking about the changes, then Moto Razr 40 receives the Android 15 update with support for features like new lock screen customization features, updated quick panel, private space, control video recording view, clone apps, Gen AI emojis, new emoji stickers, improved connections, and more.
If you own the Moto Razr 40 and residing in the EU region, you can manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > System updates > Check for system updates.
As I said earlier, the update is in a rolling phase and will be released to everyone very soon. If the update isn’t available on your device, you can wait for a few days.
