Moto G Pro gets Android 12 update with new features

In December last year, Motorola unveiled a list of phones eligible for the Android 12 update. Motorola didn’t share the rollout timeline, but the update was set to start rolling from Feb 22. Motorola has fulfilled its promise and started rolling out the Android 12 update to the Moto G Pro smartphone. The latest update packs a bunch of new features and improvements. The smartphone was launched back in June 2020 with Android 10 OS, last year, received its first major OS upgrade – the Android 11 update. And now we have the second big upgrade seeding with S0PR32.44-11-8 firmware version to XT2043-7 model number. At the time of writing the update is available in the UK, will also be released in the US and other regions very soon. The release is tagged with January 2022 monthly security patch as well.

As for now, the changelog of update is not available to us, but you can expect these features, Material You, an updated notification panel, new widgets, a bunch of security and privacy features. Apart from that, the update comes with a slew of customization options such as font style, size, colors, icon shapes, layouts, wallpapers, and more from the home screen menu. You can also access the Android 12 essentials.

Moto G Pro Android 12 update

My UX-based Android 12 update is now available for Moto G Pro smartphone. If you own the Moto G Pro and want to update your phone to the new version, then you can head over to the Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and check for the new updates.

If the update is not available, you can wait for a few days. Before updating your phone make sure to charge it to at least 50% and also make a backup of important data.
