MIUI 12 Update now available for Redmi Note 9 (with Download Link)

Xiaomi has started pushing its newest custom skin to the recently launched Redmi Note 9 in India. From the past few days, Xiaomi is quite busy with the MIUI 12 updates. The recent update follows Poco F1 MIUI 12 update. Talking about the Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12 Update, then the new build tags MIUI V12.0.1.0.QJOINXM and weighs only 538MB download size.

There are some users reportedly receiving MIUI 12 Update on Redmi Note 9 in India. It’s an airborne update, might take some time to reach every unit. However, you can sideload it manually, as the recovery ROM (V12.0.1.0.QJOINXM) of the update is available. The newer build knocks up with July 2020 monthly security patch alongside the essential features of Android 10.

In terms of features, Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12 Update brings a slew of UI changes to the device that includes more intuitive icons, smoother animations, new navigation gestures, Super Wallpapers, app drawer support, and much more. Before updating your device, make sure to take a complete backup of your phone’s data, also charge your device to at least 30%. To sideload the recovery ROM package, you need to head over to the system settings, then updates, then select the update package manually. Allow the prompts to install the build.

Once the installation process completed, reboot your Redmi Note 9, once done, you can start using your device running on MIUI 12 based Android 10.
