Xiaomi is one of the big smartphone brands with many Android devices on the market. But when it comes to regular updates, they have not been impressive so far. Xiaomi also rolls out the Android 11 update for many devices but some still run on MIUI 12 like Mi 10 Lite 5G. But now it looks Xiaomi is finally rolling out MIUI 12.5 for the remaining devices. And Mi 10 Lite 5G is the latest Xiaomi phone which is receiving MIUI 12.5 Global stable update.
Mi 10 Lite 5G gets the MIUI 12.5 update for the global model. And so, if you are still using the MIUI 12 then you will be receiving the update in the next few days if not already received. The MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 10 Lite 5G also comes with Android 11 same as the last MIUI 12 update. The Android 11 for Mi 10 Lite 5G was rolled out between December 2020 and January 2021.
The latest MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 10 Lite 5G is rolling out with build number V12.5.1.0.RJIMIXM. And the update will be available to users that weigh around 600MB. So, make sure to connect to the WiFi network for the update. This is not a major update like Android 11, but still you can expect many new features.
We don’t have the full changelog for the Mi 10 Lite MIUI 12.5 update, but most of the features will be similar to recent MIUI 12.5 updates for other Xiaomi phones. Talking about the changes, then the latest MIUI 12.5 build on Mi 10 Lite 5G comes with improved gesture response, faster rendering, system enhancements, and more. Apart from that, the update brings changes to the Notes app, the app gets new tools for doodling and sketching, dynamic layouts, gesture shortcuts, and more. Xiaomi Cloud also gets location info. Mi 10 Lite 5G MIUI 12.5 Update
The MIUI 12.5 stable update is available for Mi 10 Lite 5G Global model. And as you know Xiaomi roll out updates in batches, some of you may have already got the update, while some of you may get it in the next few days. In both case, you will receive the update over the air. But if you want to manually check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update and refresh the screen.
In case if you haven’t received the update, but can’t wait to get it over the air, then you can manually install the update. Luckily the Mi 10 Lite 5G MIUI 12.5 files are available for download.

You can sideload the Recovery package by booting your smartphone into stock recovery, then head over to apply an update from the SD card and select the downloaded package. Or sideload the OTA zip directly from the Software Update settings page if you are currently on the V12.1.4.0 update. That’s it.
Once the installation process is completed, reboot your Mi 10 Lite 5G. Once done, you can start using your device running on MIUI 12.5.
