Lava Z70 Review:

Build Quality & Design:

We tested all the Z-series smartphones personally and I really like the build quality of all the four smartphones. Talking about Lava Z70, it made up of a very high-quality metallic/plastic body, looks stunning in hands. Lava Z70 not like a budget smartphone, it looks a premium device. The back of the smartphone is made up of metal with 2 lines at top or bottom for design. A camera is placed at the top center of the back and fingerprint scanner is placed before it.

Packaging Contents:

The box of the smartphone looks pretty nice from the outside. Talking about the inside contents of the box. These days, we look that no company gives earphones, case, or some more contents but here Lava gives earphones, back case, and screen guard free of cost.

  • Handset (Lava Z70)
  • Battery
  • Charger
  • USB Cable
  • Earphones
  • Back Case
  • Screen Guard
  • Warranty Card
  • User Manual

Display:

Lava Z70 features a 5.0-inch HD Incell capacitive touchscreen with 2.5D curved glass with 293 PPI. The quality of the display is decent, not bad you can easily adjust to it but the 2.5D curved edges look awesome with the shape and size of the Lava Z70.

Performance:

Lava Z70 Review – It packs with 1.3Ghz Quad-Core MTK-6737 processor which is running smoothly on this device. On the other hand, it comes 2GB of RAM with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. You can also play heavy games like Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5, and more on this phone.

User Interface:

Talking about the user interface of Lava Z70. Most of the smartphones launched by Lava is based on Stock Android UI and Lava Z70 also runs on the Stock Android 7.0 Nougat with security patch level of September 5, 2017. As it runs on Stock Android so, Z70 also has Google Assistant. The phone runs smoother also it has some pre-installed bloatware in it like – Gaana app, Hike Messenger, Amazon, Google Duo, SonyLIV. You can uninstall the apps if you want. The overall performance of the UI is awesome.

Camera:

Lava Z-series is known for the best camera in the Lava phones. Lava Z60, Z80, Z90 has a bokeh effect, which is similar to portrait mode. You can use bokeh effect to blur the backgrounds of your surroundings. Lava Z70 comes with the 8-megapixel camera on its back with LED Flash, 1080p FHD recording, f/2.0 aperture, 720p Video Recording at 30FPS and Geo-Tapping. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0, 1.4 µm pixel size, and LED flash.

Talking about the Camera, I impressed with the results of a 5-megapixel front camera which captures some good photos in day night. Also, it has a beauty mode option by which the camera can automatically capture your picture clearly, which cleans all the spots or pimples on your face if you have. The back camera is working fine in daylight, but in low light the performance of the camera is decent.

Battery Life:

Lava Z70 has 2,500mAh of the battery which works along a day with a full charge. It could take 1 hour and 30 minutes to charge the phone full. The battery performance is decent for the budget price segment. It can easily run a full day without playing heavy games like Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5 – Lava Z70 Review.

In connectivity, Lava Z70 comes with Dual SIM card support, both the slots are compatible with Nano Sim size. It supports 2G bands (900, 1800), 3G dual-bands (W-CDMA 900 and 2100 MHz HSPA+), 4G with Band 1/3/5/40/41. Lava Z70 is a VoLTE enabled smartphone.
