Lava now rolls out Android 11 update for affordable Lava Z2

In the month of July, Lava announced Android 11 roadmap for its 2021 Z-series phones. One month later, the Lava Z4, Z6, and myZ received its first major OS update. Now more affordable member of Z-series – Lava Z2 starts getting the Android 11 update. The newest firmware is seeding with a flurry of new features and changes. Here’s everything you need to know about the Lava Z2 Android 11 update.

The latest software build measures around 1.4GB of download size. Obviously, it weighs more than the usual monthly OTA patches. So, you can connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi connection for faster downloading. As of now, the update is available to limited users, hopefully, it will be available to everyone within a few days. The update also bags a new version of monthly security patch.

Not only the security patch, but the update also comes with a bunch of new features, security enhancements, and improvements for UI. As per the changelog, the update brings Android 11 OS, alongside the new features such as Call recorder, Screen recorder, and Optimized power button. Lava Z2 users can easily upgrade their phone to the new Android 11 update. If you’re using the Z2 smartphone, then you can move to the Settings > About Phone > System Update, then check the new updates. If there’s a new update available, simply tap on download and install. In case, the update is not showing on your phone, then wait for a few days.

Before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a backup of important data and charge your device to at least 50%.
