KartRider: Drift was announced in November 2019. We also got to see an announcement trailer, which you check out here. Anyways, after a period of three years, the game finally has a release date. KartRider: Drift is set to release on 12th January 2023.

KartRider: Drift is being developed by Nexon Korea Corporation and will be published by Nexon America Inc. Nexon has also developed other games for PC such as Dave the Diver and DNF Fuel.

The game has been in a good number of closed betas. Closed betas are done in order to check for any issues with the game or things that might be going out of place. The last closed beta was held in October of 2021 and you can watch that trailer here. Apart from those trailers, the developers also released a new trailer this year in the month of August. The new trailer shows you how the characters line up at the start line and begin to race around. From the trailer, you can tell it’s an arcade and action-packed racing game. Now, let us talk about the gameplay. This as you’ve guessed is a kart racing game where you will be competing with other players to be the winner. The game will be free to play, meaning anyone and everyone can be part of this fun racing game. The game has different competitions, tracks, karts, and characters to choose from. There are different types of environments that you will be racing on. To make things more interesting, players will be able to take out the opponents by using different weapons such as rocket launchers, water bombs, and UFOs.

KartRider: Drift has two game modes. One is Speed Mode where you will be racing as fast as you can and the other is Item Mode, The item mode lets you use different times to slow down your opponents. The Item Mode can be described as a battle mode where you battle out to be the only winner. The game also lets you customize your characters and your karts as well as improve your skills and load your garage with the best karts ever.

Now, apart from just racing as a solo player with the in-game AI, you can also play online thanks to the multiplayer. Apart from that, you will be able to play using the local co-op game mode as well as be able to play with your friend who might be playing the game on any other platform.
