Apple has released a new developer beta of iOS 26, which brings some noticeable changes. The iOS 26 Beta 6 is now available to developers on eligible devices, and the public beta is expected to be released soon.
Apple released iPadOS 26 Beta 6, watchOS 26 Beta 6, tvOS 26 Beta 6, macOS Tahoe 26 Beta 6, macOS Sequoia 15.7 RC2, macOS Sonoma 14.8 RC2, and visionOS 26 Beta 6 alongside the iOS 26 Beta 6.
The sixth beta of iOS 26 is available to developers with build number 23A5318c, which indicates that the official release is only a few weeks away. Not just the build number, but the performance of the latest beta also shows the same.
iOS 26 Beta 6 introduces some interesting changes. After installing the new beta, your phone will welcome you with a greeting animation followed by instructions on the iOS 26 features. The most noticeable change you will notice is the faster opening and closing animation. Due to this, the device feels smoother and more responsive than ever before.
The iOS 26 Beta 6 also introduces some new ringtones available under Reflection. The Alt1 ringtone is now named Reflected. Other new ringtones include Buoyant, Dreamer, Pond, Pop, Surge, and Little Bird. Users are specifically liking the new Dreamer ringtone.
Like the previous beta builds, there are minor refinements in the Liquid glass animation here and there. It also addresses several issues that were present earlier.
The sixth developer beta of iOS 26 is available to users who have selected developer beta in the Software Update settings. You can find the new update in the Settings > General > Software Update.
Before installing the update, take a backup of your data, which could be useful if you decide to downgrade your device.
