Apple kicks off iOS 17.6.1 update with Advanced Data Protection Bug Fix

Last week, Apple released the iOS 17.6 upgrade for iPhone, mainly focused on security improvements. Now there’s another incremental upgrade released by the tech giant fixing the Advanced Data Protection Bug. The gradual upgrade is seeding as the iOS 17.6.1 update.

Apple plants the new software upgrade on eligible iPhones with a 21G93 build number, it is a small update weighing only 350MB in download size. If your iPhone is running on iOS 17 or newer version, you can easily install the incremental upgrade on your iPhone. Along with an update for iPhone, Apple also released an incremental update for iPad users.

In terms of changes, the update addresses an issue that could prevent enabling and disabling the Advanced Data Protection feature. Here’s the complete release notes coming with the iOS 17.6.1 update:

If you have an iPhone and updated to iOS 17.6 recently, you must upgrade to the latest incremental update to fix the annoying issue. To update your device, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
