iOS 16.2 Beta 2 Update brings a new health widget and more

After a week’s gap, Apple has resumed the beta updates and released a bunch of new updates. iOS 16.2 Beta 2 is also a new update for iOS 16 eligible iPhones. Apple is testing iOS 16.2 which is going to be the second major update after the release of iOS 16. The iOS 16.1 update was released just a few weeks back.

Apple is improving iOS 16 with every update. Firstly iOS 16 had so many bugs which was the reason why many users held back from updating to iOS 16. But it got better with iOS 16.1 and is expected to get even better with iOS 16.2 update. But the update is currently being tested and will take a few weeks to go live for the public.

iOS 16.2 Beta 2 Update

Along with iOS 16.2 Beta 2 Update, Apple also released iPadOS 16.2 Beta 2, watchOS 9.2 Beta 2, tvOS 16.2 Beta 2, macOS Monterey 12.6.2 RC, macOS Big Sur 11.7.2 RC, and macOS Ventura 13.1 Beta 2. The latest iOS beta update is available to developers with build number 20C5043e. The build number tells that the beta testing might run longer than expected. The update is available at around 500MB or more.

Talking about changes and new features, you can expect some new additions as this is only the second beta build. As per the early impressions, the latest iOS 16.2 update brings a new health widget for the lock screen. For users in India, the update brings support for 5G on eligible iPhones. The second iOS 16.2 Beta update is currently available to developers. Soon it will be available to public beta users, maybe later today or even tomorrow. Since it is a beta update, you will need a beta profile installed on your iPhone to receive the update. And if you have already installed the iOS 16.2 profile then you should see the update.

To manually check for the update you can go to Settings > General > Software Update. If it shows the first beta build, tap Download and Install to get the update. If you haven’t installed the beta profile then you can follow this guide for a detailed installation guide.
