Apple squashes Notification Delays, CarPlay Microphone Volume, and other bugs with iOS 16.0.3

Apple’s work of fixing bugs available on iOS 16 continues! The tech giant has just released a third incremental upgrade for iOS 16. The latest build is labeled with the iOS 16.0.3 version number and squashes a bunch of known issues available on the iPhone 14 Pro series and other iPhones.

iOS 16.0.3 is sowing with software version 20A392 and weighs around 1GB in size. Yes, this time’s build weighs more compared to iOS 16.0.2. The update is available to the public, so anyone who owns the iPhone 8 and newer model can upgrade to the latest version of iOS. Apart from iOS, Apple pushes watchOS 9.0.2 to the Apple Watch as well.

In recent days, we have seen many users reporting bugs available on iOS 16. And with today’s release, Apple addresses a couple of issues, so that will make the iOS 16 less annoying. Let’s take a look at the list of issues addressed in this update.

  • Incoming call and app notifications may be delayed or not delivered on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
  • Low microphone volume can occur during CarPlay phone calls on iPhone 14 models.
  • Camera may be slow to launch or switch between modes on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
  • Mail crashes on launch after receiving a malformed email.

The new iOS 16.0.3 update is available to the public. So if you are on the stable iOS 16, then you will receive the OTA update on your iPhone. To manually check for the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Once the update is available tap Download and Install. Before updating, take a backup of your important data and charge your iPhone to at least 50%.
