Apple releases iOS 15.6.1 update with bug fixes and security improvements

iOS 15.6.1 is the latest update, that iPhone users can install on their phones. The new update comes one month after the public release of iOS 15.6. There’s a new iPadOS 15.6.1 software rolling to the iPads. Impact: An application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.

CVE-2022-32894: an anonymous researcher

  • WebKit

Available for: iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation)

Impact: Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.
