iOS 13.6 Beta 3 and iPadOS 13.6 Beta 3 Released

Apple just released the iOS 13.6 Beta 3 and iPadOS 13.6 Beta just a week after massive iOS 14 developer beta release. About three weeks ago Apple pushed iOS 13.6 Beta 2 update with some worthy features and the latest beta focused on bug fixes and stabilization. If you have a developer account then it is obvious that you are going to test iOS 14 beta instead of iOS 13.6 Beta. But in case if you want to try it or you don’t have a developer account. Then here’s how to install iOS 13.6 Beta 3 and iPadOS 13.6 Beta 3.

During the iOS 14 launch event, Apple also informed that they will push the Car Key feature also for iOS 13. And so you get to see the latest CarKey feature in this update. But currently, it is only working with the latest BMW car but they will extend the availability. The latest Beta 3 does not come with many new features as it is mainly a bug fix release for stable performance. iOS 13.6 Beta 3

Along with iOS 13.6 Beta 3 & iPadOS 13.6 Beta 3, Apple also released macOS 10.15.6 Beta 3, watchOS 6.2.8 Beta 3 and tvOS 13.4.8 Beta 3. It is a small update which is around 200MB for users who are already on the iOS 13.6 Beta 2. If you are shifting from a stable version then you will find a big update around 2GB. The iOS 13.6 Beta 3 comes with Software version 17G5059c and here ‘c’ confirms that we can see the next beta soon maybe as iOS 13.6 Beta 4.

The update does not come with any new feature but you will find it stable and less bugs as compared to the last beta. There’s also no update on Modem and so if you have connectivity issues then don’t expect for its fix in this update. If you are coming from a stable update and you are not aware of iOS 13.6 new features then here are features that arrived with the iOS 13.6 Beta 2.

Customize OS Updates – With iOS 13.6 Beta 2 and later we get a new option to play with update download & install settings. In the previous version or previous beta, we only had one option under Automatic Updates. But now in the latest beta, we have a different section for Download and Install available updates.

CarKey – CarKey uses the NFC feature which allows us to control our cars without using any Key. We can lock/unlock doors, start/stop Car as we see in the Tesla app. So in case if you have a habit of forgetting Keys then this feature is a beneficial addition.

Symptoms Category – In the Health settings the new section called ‘Symptoms’ added for better health tracking and management. It also gives information about health-related symptoms and their cause.

These are some new features introduced in the last update which are also part of the Beta 3 update. If you want to install the update on your phone then follow the below method.

Download & Install iOS 13.6 & iPadOS 13.6 Beta 3

The update is available for developers as well as public beta testers. Apple keeps rolling the beta updates every week and so we can expect the Beta 4 next week. We can easily update to the latest beta if we are already in one of the beta. But if you are using a stable version then you have to first enroll for the beta to get the latest beta update.

Sign Up for iOS 13 Beta Program & Install Beta Profile

  1. Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
  2. Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID.
  3. On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS or iPadOS.
  4. Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
  5. Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
  6. After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 13.6 Beta 1 on your iPhone.

After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install iOS 13.6 Beta 3 on your iPhone or iPadOS 13.6 Beta 3 on the iPad.
