Apart from the operating system being free from any bloatware and unwanted third-party apps, there is now the addition of Google AI that will help improve the experience of your favorite apps on the Google Pixel 8 Pro. To keep the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro relevant and a desirable Android smartphone, you have high-level security with the Titan M2 security chip. There is also the crash detection feature where the Pixel 9 will ring up the emergency services in case you are unable to make it all by yourself.

Now, let’s talk about the base model of the Pixel 8. This is one of the devices that a lot of people would like to buy because of the price difference when compared to the Pixel 8 Pro. The Pixel 8 comes with the same SoC as the Google Pixel 8 Pro. The Pixel 8 comes with a smaller screen size and has a refresh rate that switches between 60Hz and 120Hz.

With regards to the camera setup, the Pixel 8 comes with a dual rear camera setup. You get a 50MP wide camera along with a 12MP ultrawide camera. On the front, you get a single 10.5MP shooter.

The biggest change that comes to the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro is the updates. At least according to the leaks, the Pixel 8 duos will get 7 years of OS, security, and feature drop updates. Now, we aren’t sure if the device will get 7 years of Android updates or if it is a combination of Android OS and security updates. Well, for all of this to be 100% confirmed, we will have to wait for Google’s October event.
