In the past few months, several smartphone OEMs have started working on their major UI updates like One UI 4.0, ColorOS 12, MIUI 13, etc. Huawei is another OEM that is also working on the EMUI 12 update for its devices. Huawei is already rolling out a separate OS (non-Android) for Huawei phones in the form of Harmony OS, but it is limited to China only. According to the Huawei timeline, the EMUI 12 update is expected from the first half of 2022. It can start from any month in the first half of 2022. For now, Huawei has announced EMUI 12 global beta testing, so it won’t be coming until at least January.
