How to get Moto AI features on older Motorola phones

Motorola has launched its latest Razr 60 (Razr 2025) and Edge 60 lineup with various upgrades, including next-gen moto ai features. Both devices get some new AI features along with a dedicated Moto ai button to trigger AI features instantly.

Some other Motorola phones also support moto ai features, such as Razr 50/Razr 2024 series and Edge 50 Ultra. In fact, the moto ai was introduced with these devices late last year. However, users must join the Moto AI open beta program to access its AI features.

These Moto AI features include Catch me up, Pay attention, Remember this, Magic canvas, and more. Motorola could also add AI features from the Razr 60/Razr 2025 lineup, including Next Move, Playlist Studio, Image Studio, and more. So, make sure to keep your device prepared for these AI features.

How to Join moto ai Beta Program

If you’re unaware of the process to get these AI features, you can follow the steps mentioned below and join the moto ai open beta program.

1. To join the open beta program, first check that you have installed the latest update on your Motorola device by going to Settings > System updates.
2. Now open the Play Store and search for Moto AI app. Open it from search result.
   
3. Now join the beta program by tapping “Join” under app page. It is like joining beta for other applications.
4. Confirm that you’ve successfully joined the beta by checking the app page again. If you still see the option to join the beta, wait for 24 hours and then check again.
5. Once you have joined the beta, you can update the Moto AI app to enjoy all new UI features.
6. To bring up the new moto ai features, swipe up on the home screen.

Now you can start using available AI features on your Motorola phone.

The moto ai features are currently supported in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. It might expand to more regions soon.

If you decide to withdraw from the open beta program, you can just uninstall the Moto AI app from your device.
