How to Customize Lock Screen on any Nothing Phone

It’s 2025, and lockscreen customization has become so advanced in Android UIs. Almost all the popular Android skins support lockscreen customization; some UIs, such as ColorOS and HyperOS, take the lead, while other UIs like Nothing OS are a little behind.

Changing Clock Styles on the Nothing OS 3.0

The first and foremost part of customizing your lockscreen setup is changing the clock styles. You get a slew of different clock styles on the Nothing OS 3.0.

You can change it by long pressing on the Lock Screen > Customize Lock Screen > Slide on the clock to get different styles, and once done, you can go back. There are a total of 6 different clock styles to choose from.

Try different widgets on the lock screen

One of the greatest changes that happened in the Nothing OS 3.0, as compared to its predecessor, was the support of the lock screen widgets. You cannot just set up the widget on the lock screen, but you can interact with it as well.

You can set up useful widgets like weather on the screen or quick toggles like ring mode, torch, silent, etc. This allows you to toggle the selected function without even unlocking your device, and not to mention, it makes the lock screen look beautiful as well.

To access the widgets section, long-press on the lock screen and tap on “Customize lock screen”, and then tap on widgets. You will be able to choose from two widget areas: expanded and normal. You can turn on the toggle next to “expand widget area”; it will increase the area and, therefore, allow you to set up more widgets.

You can scroll down to find tons of widgets and add one according to your preference. Some widgets are resizable as well.

Set up lock screen shortcuts

Can you see the two small toggles in the bottom corner part of the screen? Well, those are shortcuts, and you can customize them too.

In order to do so, go to the lock screen customization section using the aforementioned steps and then click on the shortcut you want to customize. You can choose between various options such as camera, do not disturb, torch, device controls, mute, QR code scanner, video camera, and even “None”.

Add text on the lock screen

Adding a customized text on the lock screen and giving it a more personalized look. You can add it by going to Settings > Lock screen > Add text on lock screen. Now, type whatever you want to see on your lock screen and then hit Save. Once you complete the said step, you will be able to see the text message on your screen whenever you turn on the lock screen.

The Basics: Change the wallpaper
