How to Change Default Notification Sound from Settings app
Open the Settings App > Navigate to Sounds > Tap on Notification Sounds to browse through the built-in tones or browse through your device to add your own notification sound.

How to Change Specific App’s Notification Sound
Now, WhatsApp is a popular messaging app that allows you to change notification sounds of private and group chats. Let’s take a look at how to change it.
- Open WhatsApp and tap on the 3-dots menu towards the top right and select Settings.
- Now tap on Notification and select Notification Tone.
- Select or browse through the tones you like and set it.
- You can now set notification tones for groups and messages.
