Action-adventure games are always enjoyable. There are plenty of such games out there and there is always endless fun. If you remember Horizon Zero Dawn, then you probably know where this is going. There is only one thing that can be a bit annoying. The fact that this is a PlayStation exclusive game. It sure is a good game, but not being able to play it on a PC is disheartening for those who want to play it. However, we can hope that someday in the coming years they release a PC version of the game. Just like they did with Horizon Zero Dawn. Anyway, let’s get on to everything we know so far about the game Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West Release Date
The game was originally announced back in June 2020. This was accompanied by an announcement trailer and a release date that was slated for a 2021 release. Horizon Forbidden West Trailer
We get to see a fresh new story trailer that has been released. In the trailer, we get to see Aloy talking about the many problems that people are facing alongside the machines which are supposed to be helping everyone just seem to not work anymore. Included in this new story trailer, a new rebel or rather enemy of Aloy has been revealed. The new enemy, Regalla is expected to turn out as destructive as she can since she has access to all the troops and machines that will all be in her favor.
Horizon Forbidden West Gameplay
The game takes place around 1000 years in the future. As Aloy, you have one single job, to save the people. While it might seem simple, there are a lot of things you will have to deal with including a ravaging storm that is incoming as well as a red blight that is, strangely enough, spanning across the lands. To stop the blight, Aloy and her friends have to pass through the Old World to make use of the available technology against the red blight.
While your companions are out on the journey to find the tech, you will come across your enemies who can simply override any machine and put it to their work and use. However, in the new game, Aloy will now be having new tools that will come in handy for her journey. The Focus Scanner lets you look for surfaces and objects that you can easily climb. If you want to get out of a situation quickly, then the Pullcaster is your best friend. Also, you get access to Shieldwling. An umbrella-shaped object that lets you safely land on the ground from big heights.
The game also lets you swim underwater and if you are thinking that it would require you to float back to the surface, then you might be wrong. The Diving Mask is there to save you which lets you stay underwater for long periods thus letting you plan your routes out. And finally, you can override any machine you find and use it to your benefit. Overall a lot of new things for you to enjoy in the new game. You can check out the gameplay over here.
