HMD Global now brings Android 11 to the Nokia 2.3

For the past few days, HMD Global, has been working to bring the Android 11 update to the Nokia phones. After successfully rolling out the major update to the affordable Nokia 3.2 and high-end Nokia 8.3 5G. It’s time for yet another Nokia phone to get the taste of latest OS. This time, the company has started pushing the Android 11 update to Nokia 2.3. And here’s everything you need to know about the Nokia 2.3 Android 11 Update.

The Nokia 2.3 was announced back in December 2019, initially, the smartphone ran on Android Pie 9.0. Later on, the device received its first ever major OS upgrade in the form of Android 10 update. Now it’s a time for the yet another big update.

At the time of writing, the information about the software version number, size, and changelog is not available. But we can expect that the Android 11 update on Nokia 2.3 would bring a slew of new features to the smartphone along with the updated monthly security patch (March 2021 monthly security patch to be precise).

Talking about the changes, then the Android 11 update come with features such as Chat Bubbles, change in Notification panel & volume controls, improved performance, and many other features.

As it is a major update, it requires a big chunk of internet data for downloading, I suggest you to connect to your smartphone to a stable Wi-Fi connection for faster downloading. As per the details shared by the company, the first batch of staged rollout goes live for a bunch of countries including – Sweden, Malaysia, Finland, Philippines, Vietnam, and more.

According to the information shared by Nokia, the update is seeding to the 10% of phones in the first batch. While the 50% of phones will get the update till 10th April and 100% till 12th April. And details for the second wave will be shared in the coming days.

If you’re in a hurry, then you can check the system updates on your smartphone, there are sometimes when OTA notification not arrive. If you’re using the Nokia 2.3 smartphone and want to update it to the latest Android 11 update, then you can head over to the Settings > System Updates, then update your device.

Before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a backup of important data and charge your device to at least 50%.
