HMD Global finally released Android 12 update for Nokia 8.3 5G

The wait is finally over, the Android 12 update goes live for the Nokia 8.3 5G. For the record, the Nokia 8.3 5G was launched back in September 2020 with Android 10, last year, the mid-ranger received its first OS upgrade in the form of an Android 11 update. But the mid-ranger is eligible to receive two major OS upgrades. And now its a time for the second release, aka, the Android 12 update. HMD Global started rolling out the new update to the Nokia 8.3 5G in a staged manner. For the time being, the OTA is weeding over the air in Finland, some users claim the rollout is also live in Germany, it will be available in other regions very soon. The new software hits the Nokia 8.3 5G with the V3.380 firmware version. As it is a major upgrade, it requires more data compared to the monthly security patches, you can use the WiFi network to download it if you have a limited mobile data plan.

The new software comes with features like Privacy Dashboard, Accessibility Improvements, Conversation Widgets, enhanced security features, and other Android 12 essentials. If you reside in France, then you can upgrade your Nokia 8.3 5G to Android 12, but if you live in a different region, then you will have to wait for a few more days. You may have already received the OTA notification on your Nokia 8.3 5G, if not, then you can head over to Settings > System > Software Update and upgrade your phone to Android 12. The update will also be available to pending users in the coming days.
