Today marks a disappointing day in the world of gaming. One of the most anticipated games, Grand Theft Auto VI, has officially been delayed. Yes, there is no GTA VI for anyone to play this year.
Rockstar Games, the developers behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise, have just put out a statement on their website and the official X (Twitter) regarding GTA VI.
Grand Theft Auto VI has now been moved to 2026. Yes, the game has been delayed for another year, but at least we have a release date. GTA VI is now set to be released on the 26th of May 2026. In approximately one year and two weeks, we should be able to play GTA VI.

GTA VI Release Set For May 26, 2026
With the game now officially delayed, GTA fans all over are disappointed that they will have to continue playing the older GTA games for another year.
In Rockstar Games’ official statement, they have stated that they needed some extra time to bring the best out of the game and to cross the level of expectations that the fans have. New Trailers? PC Release Dates?
Well, we are still away from the second trailer of the game, and there is no information about whether the PC version of GTA VI will also be released in 2026.
So far, it is known that the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S ports of the game will be out on the 26th of May 2026. Only Rockstar Games has the answer to whether the PC port also follows the same release date.
Until then, we wait for more information from Rockstar Games to drop about Grand Theft Auto VI in the coming months.
