While GTA 6 could far away, Rockstar Games have decided to remaster the three best games and release them with a few modern touches and improvements over the original ones. Here is everything about the GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition release date, trailer, system requirements, and more.
To this day, people still go back and play the old GTA games. Why? It’s because there is a special attachment to it. You never had to worry about being connected to the internet to be able to play the game and for that matter worry about installing a game launcher. Well, fair enough the Rockstar Games launcher now lets you save your progress online which is quite good.
These old games can be played over and over again without getting bored of it at all. GTA III, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas are part of this remastered GTA Trilogy. Now that Rockstar Games has decided to remaster the games, let’s take a look at everything we know about GTA Trilogy.
GTA The Trilogy Release Date
There have been a lot of leaks about Rockstar planning a remaster of the classic games. However, on the 6th of October, Rockstar Games has finally officially announced that the remastered versions of the games are real and will be coming soon. The game is set to be released on the 11th of November 2021.
GTA Trilogy Developer and Publisher
The remastered versions of the games are being done by Grove Street Games and will be published by Rockstar Games. These games are being developed using Unreal Engine 4.
GTA The Trilogy Trailer
While the games have been announced, we also get to take a look at the GTA The Trilogy trailer. Since everyone knows everything about the games, we get to see the visual changes between the older and the newer games. Which, in all fairness looks quite good. The trailer could have been a bit more interesting if we could get to hear an audio track from at least one of the games which help in making people feel nostalgic about the old games.
GTA Trilogy Gameplay
Now all of us know what the whole story and gameplay are for GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas. For GTA 3 we get to play around with Claude, who was for some reason a total mute in the game. He hasn’t spoken a single word throughout the whole game. This could be something that might be addressed out in the remastered version of the game. Running over to Vice City, which takes place in the 80s, a lot of people are excited for this one. Well for starters you play as Tommy Vercetti and even drive around through Ocean Beach. We hope this time Tommy is finally able to swim around in the seas.
Moving over to GTA: San Andreas, this is probably one of the most played GTA games ever. The game takes place in the early 90s and you play as Carl Johnson. Now this game had all the good stuff. More cars, and not to forget the other characters as well as the radio tracks. This game and Vice City have had the game tracks ever.
So, what do we get to see in the definitive edition of the trilogy games? Well, the obvious part is the visuals followed by better controls that are said to be like GTA V. So yes, this will make playing these old games much better. Even the characters in the game have been upgraded and feel and look a lot much better. Not like they were bad during their original releases, but hey, it’s good to see improvements like these. We can also get to see new game achievements that can be earned by performing various tasks.
GTA Trilogy Platform Availability
The game will be available to play on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and even on the Nintendo Switch. It finally is great to see the game available on the Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to pinch to zoom and move around with the camera by swiping and pinching on the screen itself. The other good part is, users will be able to enjoy the remastered trilogy on Android and iOS devices, which is expected to release in the first part of 2022.
GTA The Trilogy Pricing
Since it is Rockstar, we all know how they price their games. The games will come with a price tag of $59.99. Yes, it doesn’t seem like the right price for these games, but it could be worth considering the upgrades made for the game. There is no clue about the game launching over on Steam or for that matter even in the Epic Games Store. For this, only time will tell. The game will initially release digital versions of the game. You would be able to pick up the physical copies of the game starting December 7, just in time for the holidays.
GTA The Trilogy System Requirements
