Earlier this week, Google unveiled the new Pixel 9 series with many upgrades. Undoubtedly, Google AI is the leading highlight of the Pixel 9 lineup, with one feature that gains people’s attention being the new Pixel Studio app. This app is powered by Google’s latest Imagen 3 text-to-image model and the best thing is, it works offline and gives results pretty quickly.
Just days after the official launch of Pixel 9 phones, Google quietly released its most powerful text-to-image model, Imagen 3, to the public. If you’re in the US, you can freely try out the company’s latest AI model to generate creative canvas, even on the web, older Pixel phones, Android phones, and iPhones.
Google officially showed off its latest image generator at its developer conference in May. Later, the model was made available to select Vertex AI users in June. Now, VentureBeat confirms that the tech giant has silently announced its Imagen 3 through its ImageFX platform on the AI Test Kitchen website. Additionally, published a research paper detailing the new technology.
Pixel Studio app works using an on-device diffusion model running on Tensor G4 and Imagen 3. This first-of-its-kind image generator supports features like style changes, editing options, easy understanding, and with option for trying multiple versions.
Imagen 3 is one of the most powerful image generators, it offers various styles and editing options once you type your initial prompt. Additionally, it suggests potential substitutes for objects and scenery in the prompt. If you want to add more objects to the generated image, you can do it by selecting the area and then typing an additional prompt.
If you reside in the US and want to try out Google’s latest text-to-image generation model, then you can go to the AI Test Kitchen website and sign in with your Google account. You can use the tool on any smartphone, tablet, or PC.
