Google Squashes the Android Auto and Bluetooth Issues with Pixel February Update

Itโ€™s first week of the month, which means the time for new Pixel security update. Google has just released the Pixel February update, bumping up the monthly security patch version, addresses known issues, and enhances the overall user experience.

Google pushes the February Android Security update to eligible Pixel devices with AP4A.250205.002 software version number. It is a small update, weighing only 32MB in download size. You can quickly update your Pixel smartphone to the latest software upgrade.

In terms of availability, the update is available for Pixel 6 and later models, including Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold devices. Here’s the complete list of changes coming with the new Pixel February 2025 security update.

  • Audio issue: Addressed an issue with audio output in Android Auto under certain conditions.
  • Bluetooth: Fix for issue occasionally preventing connection with certain Bluetooth devices or accessories [for Pixel 9 Series]

If you own the carrier-locked model, then you will receive the incremental upgrade with the following build numbers:

  • T-Mobile: AP4A.250205.002.C1
  • Telstra: AP4A.250205.002.B2
  • EMEA: AP4A.250205.002.A1

In case you missed the OTA notification, you can tap on it and download the update or simply head over to Settings > System > Advanced > System update and install the new software.

You can also manually install it on your Pixel phone by sideloading the update. Theย factory imagesย andย OTA filesย of November 2024 update are already available. But make sure to take a backup before sideloading the new software.
