While the wait for the stable Android 15 update continues, Google starts rolling out the Android 15 QPR1 beta 1. QPR is a quarterly platform release that comes every three months as Pixel Feature Drop. Now that the first beta is here, you can expect the first Android 15-based Pixel Feature Drop update by the end of this year.
If you are wondering when Android 15 will be released to the public, then it is coming out soon. No specific date has been given by Google. But now that Pixel 9 has also joined the Android 15 beta, the stable build should arrive soon.
QPR updates are known for including big changes even those that don’t make in the major Android OS release. This also includes some hyped features. However, QPR updates are exclusive to Pixel devices.
The first Android 15 QPR1 Beta comes with build number AP41.240726.009. It is available for Android 15 eligible Pixel devices except for the Pixel 9 series. Here is the list of devices eligible for Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1.

The first Android 15 QPR1 beta is available to users who have opted for the beta program. If you want to continue your Android 15 beta journey, you can go ahead with this beta update.
However, if you want to get the stable Android 15 update, then you have to ignore this update and leave the beta program. If you install QPR1 beta but later wish to downgrade then you will have to reset your phone.
If you want to continue the beta, you can go to the Software/System update page in Settings, and install the update. Don’t forget to take the backup before installing the update.
