Last year, Google originally started testing the Android 12L via a beta testing program and released the second beta as an incremental upgrade last month. Moving forward with the development, Google has released the third beta build of Android 12L for large screen devices. The latest update is seeding with fixes and enhancements. Here’s everything you need to know about the Android 12L Beta 3 update.
The OTA is tagged with the S2B3.220205.007.A1 software version and measure approx. 2GB of size for downloading. If you own a Google Pixel 3a, 4, 4a, 5, 5a, or Pixel 6 series phone then you can upgrade your phone to the Android 12L Beta 3. If you’ve opted beta program then you will get the update over the air.
Moving to the changes, then the incremental patch brings fixes to the small bugs. Here’s the complete list of resolved issues.
Developer-reported issues
- Fixed an issue that prevented weather information from showing in the system’s At a glance widget. (Issue #210113641).
- Fixed an issue where the screen off animation was not displayed consistently when turning off the device’s screen. (Issue #210465289)
- Fixed issues that caused the system launcher to crash when attempting to enter split-screen mode using the Pin to Top option. (Issue #209896931, Issue #211298556)
Apart from that, the update will also bump up the monthly security patch version to February 2022. If you want to taste the features of newest version of Android – Android 12L, then you can join the beta program.
As I said earlier, as of now, the update is available for Pixel series phones starting from the Pixel 3a to the current Pixel 6 series. If your Pixel phone is already running on the second beta, then you can head over to the Software updates from the Settings app then check the new updates.
