Google Pixel 9a unboxed ahead of official March 19 launch

Google is close to launching its next affordable Pixel phone, the Pixel 9a. Weโ€™ve already witnessed various leaks and renders of the Pixel 9a, leaving no room for speculation. To top it off, a real-world unboxing of the Pixel 9a has also surfaced.

Sahilkaroul, an Instagram channel, has shared a reel showcasing the unboxing of the Pixel 9a. The unboxing shows the Pixel 9a in a cool Iris (purple) color. The design aligns with the previous leaks and hands-on videos weโ€™ve seen.

The Pixel 9a comes in a familiar packaging that matches the deviceโ€™s color. The first content in the box is the device itself, followed by some paperwork and the original USB cable.

The Pixel 9a have a new design with a flat rear camera nestled in an oval-shaped cutout. This rear camera setup include two cameras and an LED flash positioned outside the cutout. The Pixel 9aโ€™s design is quite different from other Pixel devices came in the last few years, as the signature camera island undergoes a big change.

The Volume buttons and Power button are located on the right side frame, while the SIM tray, Type C port, and a speaker are located on the bottom frame. The bezels on the device is clearly visible once the device is powered on, and are even more noticeable from close up.

The unboxing video also reveals the complete AnTuTu benchmark score, which was 1049844.

From previous leaks, we already know the specification of the upcoming Pixel 9a. The phone features a 6.28-inch 120Hz OLED display with FHD+ resolution. Itโ€™s powered by the Tensor G4 chipset.

The new camera setup on Pixel 9a houses a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera. Pixel 9a will boast a 5100 mAh battery with the 23W wired charging support which may not be sufficient for current charging speed technology.

There are also some pricing leaks about the device, indicating that the Pixel 9a will start at $499, ยฃ499, or โ‚ฌ549.
