Earlier this year, Samsung introduced One UI 4.1 with this year’s flagship Galaxy S22 series. There are some new features and changes in One UI 4.1. Samsung is now bringing One UI 4.1 to its older phones as well. One UI 4.1 is now available for Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. Yesterday Samsung mentioned in its blog post that One UI 4.1 is coming to more devices that will bring features from Galaxy S22. And today the One UI 4.1 update has gone live for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The One UI 4.1 update for Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with firmware version F711NKSU2CVC5 (South Korea), F711BXXU2CVC5 (Europe). And the One UI 4.1 for Galaxy Z Fold 3 is available in South Korea with firmware version F926NKSU1CVC5. We can expect the update to be available in other regions soon.
Now coming to features, the One UI 4.1 comes with some new features. Some features may not be available on all devices with One UI 4.1. Talking about Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 the update brings Enhanced night portraits, director’s view, time lapse videos, portrait relightning, and more. You can know more about the One UI 4.1 features here.
The One UI 4.1 also bumps up the Android Security Patch to March 2022 on Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip3 or Galaxy Z Fold3 user in South Korea or Europe then you will receive the OTA update soon if you haven’t already. As usual, it is a staged rollout. In case the OTA update notification doesn’t work then you can manually check for the update from Settings > Software Update.
If you want the update immediately, then you can also manually install the update using firmware. You can download the firmware from Frija tool, Samsung Firmware Downloader. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the firmware to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
