This year Samsung is ahead in the Android 11 update league. And it is continuously rolling out stable Android 11 updates for remaining Galaxy devices. And Galaxy Tab Active 3 is the latest Samsung device receiving the stable Android 11 update. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 Android 11 update was scheduled for June and its way ahead then the planned time.
The Android 11 for Galaxy Tab Active 3 is currently rolling out in Europe as One UI 3. Considering some of the latest Android 11 updates from Samsung are based on One UI 3.1 and this update can also be on One UI 3.1. We know Samsung very well; it shouldn’t take a long time when Android 11 goes live in other regions.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 Android 11 update comes with firmware version T575XXU3BUD5. The update brings the March 2021 Security patch on Galaxy Tab Active 3. It is not the latest but an important patch as it fixes known vulnerabilities.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 was launched back in September 2020 with Android 10 based One UI 2.5 out of the box. And Samsung finally brings the Android 11 update to Tab Active 3 as they promised. Since the Android 11 is a major update for Galaxy Tab Active 3, it weighs more and also brings many new features and improvements.
The One UI 3 update on Galaxy Tab Active 3 may be seeding with features such as Private Share, Nearby Share, Eye Comfort Shield, Remove location data, Auto Switch feature, along with a few other features. Obviously, the newer update is based on the Android 11. For now, we don’t have the full changelog but once we have it, we will share it with you.
As you know the Galaxy Tab Active 3 Android 11 update is rolling out in Europe, you can expect the update over the air. But in case if you don’t receive notification for Android 11 on Galaxy Tab Active 3, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update. Then tap on Download & Install button to install the update.
You can get the update immediately by flashing available Firmware however, we don’t recommend flashing firmware from different regions as it can break the device.
You can download the firmware from Frija tool, SamFirm tool, Samsung Firmware Downloader, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the Galaxy Tab Active 3 Firmware to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
