Galaxy Tab Active 3 is Samsung’s latest phone to get Android 13 Update

After rolling out the stable Android 13 for some of its Tablets, Samsung now releases the Android 13 and One UI 5 for a two year old rugged Tablet. Galaxy Tab Active3 is getting stable Android 13 update. This could be the last major update for the device. Here is everything you need to know about Galaxy Tab Active3 Android 13 update.

Stable Android 13 is currently available for the LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab Active 3 (SM-T575) and is rolling out in Europe starting from Switzerland. Soon it will be available in other regions and for the WiFi model as well.

The latest update for the device is rolling out to users with the build number T575XXU3EVK7. And since this is a major update for the device, it might weigh in around 2GB or even more. So if you own the device, make sure to download the update using WiFi.

Talking about new features, currently, we do not have the complete changelog. But since new features are the same for most phones, you can expect the same changes. The new update brings new lock screen customization, new wallpapers, bigger widgets, stacking widgets, more color palettes, tweaked app icons, Material You support for third party app icons, per app language preference, enhanced privacy and security, and many more changes.

In the last two months, mainly in November, Samsung released Android 13 based One UI 5 for most of its Galaxy phones. And soon Samsung may complete the Android 13 rollout, which is expected by 2022. Well, this is not an official plan but even if Samsung doesn’t complete the rollout till 2023 only some phones will be left to get the update.

If you’re a Galaxy Tab Active3 user in Europe, you’ll be getting the update soon, if you haven’t already. This is a batch rollout so if you haven’t received the update yet don’t worry as it will take a few days to be available to all. Sometimes the OTA Update notification doesn’t work even when the update is available for the device, so it is wise to check for updates regularly. To check for the update go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Before updating your phone to Android 13, make sure to take backup of your important data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
