Vivo has finally teased its upcoming custom skin which is based on Android 11. Yes, I am talking about the Funtouch OS. Vivo calls the upcoming custom skin – Funtouch OS 11. The company has flaunted the Funtouch OS 11 based Android 11 update during the Vivo V20 launch event.

Vivo’s offshoot Realme and Oppo already announced its next-gen custom skin in the form of Realme UI 2.0 and ColorOS 11. Now Vivo is all set to announce the Funtouch OS 11 for its smartphones.

In June, Vivo released Android 11 developer preview for the Vivo Nex 3S (5G), iQOO 3 in China, and iQOO 3 in India. Now, the company has kick-off the closed beta builds of Funtouch OS 11 based Android 11 for the afore-listed devices.

Multi-turbo Mode 4.0

Multi-turbo is one of the best features on the Vivo smartphones, which enhances the gaming performance. Vivo announced the Multi-Turbo 3.0 alongside the Vivo Z6 5G. Funtouch OS 11 will come with Multi-turbo Mode 4.0 with gaming acceleration engine support and enhanced PC-grade liquid cooling system support.

Improvements for Long Screenshot

Android 11 features a new Long Screenshot user interface. And every smartphone OEM is working to optimize the way of capturing a long screenshot for its devices as well. And Vivo will also bring this feature, It’s not the same as the Android 11, but it will allow the user to capture long screenshot of any page in one click.

More Rounded Icons

Funtouch OS 11 based Android 11 update on Vivo smartphones are packed with more rounded-icons. The new icons look minimal and clean. Not only this, but there’s an option by which you can change the default rounded shaped icons to square as well. Other than that, the new skin also comes with some new builtin wallpapers.

Nearby Sharing

Remember Nearby Share feature launched recently by Google to take on Apple’s Airdrop. Google has recently pushed the Nearby Share to Samsung phones and It is coming to other devices as well. It will be available in the Funtouch OS 11 for Vivo smartphones. This feature allows you to share files between devices easily, just like Airdrop.

Notification History

As the name suggests, it allows you to check the notifications that you accidentally dismissed from the notification panel. This feature made its debut with the Android 11 and also coming to the Vivo smartphones with the Funtouch OS 11.

Other than that, the new skin also comes with enhanced One-Handed mode, Enhanced Dark Mode, Improved App Permissions, double-click on back gesture (it allows you to capture a screenshot by tapping twice on the back of your device), and some other features.

      As for now, there’s no confirmation about the availability of guest mode in Funtouch OS 11. We’ll update the article when public version of Funtouch OS 11 is available.
