OnePlus has just released the monthly incremental update for its last year’s T-series phone, yes, I am talking about OnePlus 8T. The latest update aka OxygenOS 11.0.9.9 update for OnePlus 8T equipped with system improvements and a few fixes. Weirdly, this time, OnePlus released the update only European and NA variants. Yes, there’s no update for Indian variant yet. Here you can check everything about the OnePlus 8T OxygenOS 11.0.9.9 Update.

The company seeds latest update for EU variant with 11.0.9.9.KB05BA build number and NA variant receives it with 11.0.9.9.KB05AA software version. While sharing the information about the new update on its community forum, OnePlus mentioned that the update includes region-specific fixes. Maybe this could be the reason behind no OxygenOS 11.0.9.9 update for OnePlus 8T Indian variant.

The monthly security patch is remained unchanged (June 2021) with this update. Talking about other changes then, as per the changelog, the update brings stability improvements, screen flash issue while using NightScape mode, and the new OnePlus Store app integration. And one of the strangest things is, you cannot uninstall it from your smartphone. Here’s the complete changelog you can check before updating your smartphone.

OnePlus 8T OxygenOS 11.0.9.9 Update – Changelog

  • System
    • Improve stability and fixed known issues
  • Camera
    • Fixed the issue that the screen may flash when shooting in NIGHTSCAPE mode
  • OnePlus Store
    • An intuitive and convenient way to manage your OnePlus account, get easy-to-access support, discover exciting members-only benefits, and shop for OnePlus products. (Please note that it can be uninstalled)

Although, it is a small update, but still a useful one for users who love taking phones using NightScape Mode. If you’re using OnePlus 8T in Europe or NA region, then you can check the system updates to update your device to OxygenOS 11.0.9.9 version. Though, it is in a rolling phase, I suggest you to check the updates manually, as there are sometimes when OTA notification does not arrive. You can check it by heading over to the Settings > System > System Updates > click on download and install if the new build is available.
