How to Enable Two-Step Verification in WhatsApp

So, WhatsApp launched two-step verification in its iOS, Android, and Windows app. This two-step verification feature will make sure that no one can set up your WhatsApp account with just your mobile number. How to Enable Two-Step Verification in WhatsApp:

1. Open WhatsApp Messenger on your iPhone, Android smartphone or Windows smartphone.Then, click on WhatsApp Settings->Account->Two-step verification.

2. Now, tap on “Enable” and then, enter the 6-digit passcode. Tap “Next” and confirm the passcode again.

3. Once done, you can enter the recovery email address, where you can get a link to reset the passcode in case you forget it. You can also skip this option.

                                                     

4. After confirming the email address, WhatsApp two-step verification will be enabled. In the Two-step verification page, now you will find options to disable two-step verification, change passcode and email address.

* Important Points in WhatsApp Two-Step Verification:

If you don’t remember your passcode and you did not enter an email address, you will be able to re-verify your WhatsApp account without the passcode after 7 days. You will not be able to reverify your WhatsApp account without the passcode until it has been 7-days.
