With each new iOS release, Apple introduces exciting features and functionalities to CarPlay. The latest version, iOS 17, is no exception, offering new ways to interact with messages while driving, SharePlay integration for Apple Music, improvements to EV charging station information, a revamped user interface, and much more. With the release of the second beta, Apple adds a bunch of vibrant wallpapers to the CarPlay interface. Last year, Apple teased a major upgrade for the CarPlay, which offers deeper integration with the car’s hardware. The company didn’t talk about it at its annual developer conference, however, it will be released later this year to eligible cars. Talking about the other features, then one useful feature coming to the CarPlay is the SharPlay, which allows passengers to contribute to an Apple Music playlist and the best thing is there’s no need to pay for the Apple Music subscription. The subscription is required for the user who has started the SharePlay session.

The other features include the new Messages user interface, which you can use to send quick replies, if you own an electric vehicle then you will get real-time charging availability, apart from that there are a bunch of new wallpapers added with the second iOS 17 beta. In terms of availability, the new CarPlay will be available on iPhone Xs and later models.

Apple CarPlay backgrounds are similar to the wallpapers seen on the iPhone’s operating system (iOS). And the same can be seen in iOS 17. This year’s release features eight new wallpapers, the built-in wallpapers are the same as the iOS 17 default wallpapers, whereas, the other backgrounds are in red, blue, and gray colors.
