The Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi launched two new smartphones in India, the Redmi Note 8 & 8 Pro. One of the main highlights of both the smartphones is the cameras. Yes, Both the smartphones are packed with the quad-camera setup on the back. And the Redmi Note 8 Pro houses with a 64MP primary lens which uses the pixel binning technology, other than that, it has an f/1.8 aperture, 0.8-micron pixel size, and PDAF support is here. It also has an 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. While the vanilla Note 8 has an 48MP lens alongside with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP dedicated macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Redmi Note 8 sports a 13MP selfie shooter, while the Redmi Note 8 Pro is tucked with a 20MP lens on the front.

Talking about some other details and hardware specifications, then the smaller Redmi Note 8 features a 6.3-inch display while the Pro variant comes with a 6.53-inch display, both the smartphones have a dewdrop notch on-the-top and it is in 1080 X 2340 pixels resolution. Both the smartphones are MIUI 10 based on Android Pie 9.0. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first smartphone which houses with the MediaTek’s Helio G90T SoC, while the billing Note 8 is equipped with a Snapdragon 665 chipset. Other than that, the new Note 8 lineup sports the 18W fast charging, the vanilla variant boasts a 4,000mAh battery while the Pro variant has a bigger 4,500mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is available in 6GB/8GB RAM options alongside with 64GB/128GB internal storage options. You can expand the storage up to 256GB via microSD card. The smartphone is available in Black, White, and Green color options. The price of the Redmi Note 8 Pro starts at Rs. 14,999 (approx. $210), well there are some other good options available in this price segment, like the Samsung Galaxy M30s which packs with a 6,000mAh battery and the Realme XT which has a beautiful AMOLED display and SuperVOOC charging.
