Yesterday, Oppo unveiled the next iteration of the Reno series. The 2022 lineup brings three models – the Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+. Oppo refreshed its Reno series every six months. The newest edition of the Reno series houses the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, 50MP primary cameras, MariSilicon X NPU, 80W Super VOOC charging tech, and more. Oppo Reno 8 series – Details

As is customary, the company has announced the Reno 8 series first in mainland China, and later will be released to the global markets. Before diving into the wallpapers section, here’s a quick overview of the new Reno 8-line phones. As mentioned earlier, the Reno 8 series has three different variants and all three phones pack AMOLED displays. The vanilla Reno 8 boasts a 6.43-inch 90Hz refresh rate panel, the Reno 8 Pro has a 6.62-inch display with a 120Hz, whereas the Reno 8 Pro+ features a huge 6.7-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The Reno 8 series comes in with ColorOS 12.1-based Android 12 OS out-of-the-box.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro is the first smartphone to come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, whereas the Reno 8 Pro has the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC. Speaking of the vanilla Reno 8, then it dons MediaTek Dimensity 1300. Oppo launches the Reno 8 series in 8GB and 12GB RAM options with 128GB and 256GB storage onboard. In terms of optics, the Reno 8 series bundles a triple-lens camera setup on the back. Talking about the Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 Pro+, then the camera module features a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, all three phones pack a 32MP snapper for selfies.

Oppo Reno 8 series comes in with a 4,500mAh battery and sports 80W Super VOOC fast charging. The smartphone goes official in Black, Silver, and Mint color options. As mentioned earlier, the Reno 8 lineup is available in China and starts at CNY 2,499 (approx. $375 / โ‚น29,000) for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
