Download macOS Monterey Beta
The macOS Monterey beta is now available for developers. And its public beta will be available next month, which is July. The stable public release is coming this Fall. Like other developer beta, this time also Apple only allows you to try the developer beta on subscription. So, if you have a subscription then you can download and install the macOS Monterey right away. Or you can wait for the next 2-3 weeks until its public beta goes live.
To download the macOS Monterey beta first you need to sign up for the Apple developer program. You can sign up on their official page. Now check out the remaining steps in the install section.
How to Install macOS Monterey Beta on your Mac
After signing up for the developer program, make sure to take a full backup of your Mac. It will ensure that you don’t lose your data. You can restore the data in case of any issues. You can either take backup on iCloud or any external drives. Don’t keep the backup file on your Mac.
Once you have taken the backup file, you can proceed with the mentioned steps to get macOS Monterey or macOS 12 Beta on your Mac.
- Log in to the Apple developer program.
- Now go to the download section.
- Look for the macOS 12 and click on it.
- Now click on Install Profile next to the macOS Monterey Beta. It will download the Beta Profile.
- Go to the Download folder and install the Beta Profile.
- Go to System Preferences > Software Update.
- It will show the latest macOS Monterey Beta that you can now install on your Mac with the default method. The installation can take some time depending on the Mac you own.
Now you can enjoy the macOS Monterey with its new features. This is an easy method to install macOS, and you will also get incremental updates. Those who don’t want to pay for the beta can wait for a few weeks. The public beta will be available in July which will be free for all users. You can follow the same method for public beta as well, only you have to cut the subscription part.
