And like every other Xiaomi phone, it also bumps up the market with the Camera2 API support out-of-the-box. Xiaomi Mi 10i dons a quad camera setup on its back panel, featuring the Samsung’s 108MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The 108MP sensor bins 9 pixels into one pixel to create an impressive 12MP shot. Xiaomi is billing its latest mid-range phone with enhanced camera app, the newer app features a number of improvements which allow users to add shortcut of different camera modes to the home screen of the app. The stock camera app captures decent images, while if you want to capture some mind-boggling astrophotography and night sight shots then you can give a try to the Google Camera (GCam app).

  1. At first, you need to download this config file on your Mi 10i.
  2. Head over to the file manager and create a new folder called, GCam.
  3. Open GCam folder and create one more folder with configs7 name.
  4. Now paste the config file inside the configs7 folder.
  5. Once done, Open the Google Camera app and double tap on the black blank area placed next to the shutter button.
  6. Tap on the settings shown, available in the popup & press the restore button.
  7. Go back to the app drawer and then open the app again.

For GCam 8.1

There’s no need to change much on the latest GCam 8.1 port.

How to Install Google Camera on Mi 10i

  1. At first download the app from above-listed links.
  2. After downloaded, head over to the settings then enable the Unkown Sources.
  3. Now Install the Google Camera.
  4. Once done, open the app and allow the app permissions if any needed.
  5. That’s it.

Note: Before Installing the new Gcam Mod ported app, make sure to delete the older version (if you’ve installed). This is not a stable version of Google Camera, so it may have some bugs.
