You Can Now Customize Menu Bar & Carousel on Google Chrome for iOS

Google is continuously improving its apps for iOS, with Google Chrome being the next in line. The popular browser has improved with the latest update, bringing more control over the Menu Bar and Carousel.

Google Chrome users on iPhone, as well as iPad, can now customize the menu bar to quickly access more useful tools and options. This new feature is included in the recently released Chrome 125.0.6422.145 version number. You can install the new update from the App Store.

Prior to the release of the new update, the top carousel in Chrome’s menu showed frequently used tools. Thanks to the Chrome v125, you can now customize it according to your preferences for better memory.

The top carousel bar has shortcuts like Bookmarks, History, Reading List, Settings (non-removable), Password Manager, Downloads, Recent Tabs, Site Information, and What’s New.

Whether you want to customize the Top Carousel or Menu bar, simply on the browser and click on the three dots menu icon at the bottom right corner. Now swipe down and select the Customize Menu option.

To remove items from the top carousel, simply click the minus icon appearing on different shortcuts. You can also turn off the Smart Sort Menu Bar to turn off the appearance of the frequently used item.

To customize the menu bar, simply uncheck the options you want to remove or keep them checked to retain them. Additionally, you can rearrange the items in the list and turn off the smart suggestion option.

Here’s the list of menu bar items you can keep or rearrange:

  • Follow
  • Add to Bookmarks
  • Add to Reading List
  • Delete Browsing Data
  • Translate
  • Request Desktop Site
  • Zoom Text
  • Find in Page

The new feature is already live on the newest version of Google Chrome on iPhone and iPad. You just need to update the browser to version 125 or 126 from the App Store and make your browsing experience even better.
