If you want a retro-style productivity setup on your iPhone, this customization guide is just what you need. The third-party back brings a similar setup that we’ve seen with the Before Launcher on Android devices.
You can easily make a minimalist and productivity setup on your iPhone’s home screen. Let’s take a look at the steps.
Turn Your iPhone into a Productivity Powerhouse
You need to install a third-party app called dumb phone. The app gives several options to customize the iPhone, starting with a large widget with five app shortcuts, a bunch of wallpapers with a hidden dock, spacer widgets, and more.
Customize your iPhone by following below steps:
Step 1: Install the Dumb Phone app on your iPhone from the App Store.
Step 2: Open the app, you need to pick five apps you want to add to your home screen. Now, grant the required permissions.
Step 3: Tap the Paint Board icon, change the background color, text position, font and size for app labels, and tinted home screen.
Step 4: Tap the Gear Icon at the top left corner, select wallpapers and download your favorite wallpaper. Once downloaded, you can apply it by navigating to the Photos app.
Step 5: Go back to the home screen, tap and hold on an empty area to enter the jiggle mode, now tap the top left corner, followed by the Edit button > Add Widget > Select Dumb Phone’s Large Widget.
If you applied a dark wallpaper, you need to turn on the dark mode from the Control Center. If you want to hide the dock, you can explore our collection of hide-the-dock wallpapers.
