Smoother Interface

Oppo’s ColorOS 11 is the smoothest custom skin in its competition. And the new ColorOS 12 is no different. The new skin bags over 300 improved animations, thanks to Oppo’s Quantum Animation Engine, for providing a smoother experience while using the smartphone. According to Oppo, these new animations stimulate “physical habits of resistance, inertia, and rebound” to make the overall smartphone experience “more realistic, smoother, and more intuitive”.

This time, ColorOS 12 comes with an anti-stutter AI engine to reduce the lags and stutters, Oppo claims, that anti-stutter AI engine can “effectively reduce the generation of fragments by processing cold and hot data separately”.

Updated Settings App

Apart from the afore-listed changes, Oppo revamps the UI of the Settings app with the release of ColorOS 12 based Android 12. The current app looks very clean, it has minimal icons. The new Settings app gets colorful icons, along with tweaks to the other elements in the app. Not only this, but Oppo also adopts the Android 12’s Material You dynamic theming, which changes the coloring of the system based on your current wallpaper. It also works in the new Settings app of ColorOS 12.
