Android 12 based ColorOS 12 Beta Program now available for Oppo A73 5G

This month, Oppo announced the ColorOS 12 beta program for a couple of mid-range phones – Oppo Reno 6Z 5G, Oppo F19 Pro+, and Oppo Reno 5 Pro (5G). Now the company adds one more phone to the list of the ColorOS 12 beta program. This time, Oppo kicks off the Android 12 beta testers program for Oppo A73 5G. Here’s everything you need to know about Oppo A73 5G ColorOS 12 beta.

As always, Oppo shares the information of the beta program via its @ColorOSGlobal Twitter handle. And as per the information, Oppo A73 5G can take a part in the beta program from 13th December to 20th December. For the time being, the testing program is live for Saudi Arabia only and there are 5,000 seats in the application quota. If your Oppo A73 5G is running on the C.06 software version then you can join the ColorOS 12 beta testers program.

In terms of features, then the ColorOS 12 update is coming with features such as the new inclusive design, 3D textured icons, adopts Android 12-based widgets, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features. Oppo also packed its skin with a big list of aesthetic wallpapers, you can download these walls right here. Apart from these changes, we can expect updated security patch levels.

Obviously, the beta builds are not good for daily use, I don’t recommend sideloading the beta patch on your primary phone. Here’s how you can join the ColorOS 12 beta program on the Oppo A73 5G.

  1. At first, Open the Settings app on your Oppo A73 5G phone.
  2. Now head over to the Software update and click on the gear icon listed on the top-right corner.
  3. Now you’ll see a trial program option, tap on it.
  4. Enter the required details in the forum shared by the company.
  5. That’s it.

Now your application has submitted successfully, if there’s an empty slot (5,000 seats) in the beta program.

Before updating, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, charge your device to at least 50%.
