Android 12 is now the latest Android update that is gradually rolling out to all eligible devices. Many OEMs have released Android 12 beta as well as stable Android 12 for their devices. Talking about the stable Android 12 in particular, only Samsung and OnePlus have managed to do so (of course Google is a first). And now Asus has also joined the list with the stable Android 12 for the Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip.
Asus has started rolling out stable Android 12 on Zenfone 8 devices. About a few weeks ago, Asus shared the Android 12 rollout plans for its devices. And as Asus promised, the stable Android 12 for Zenfone 8 is now available. The Zenfone 8 is the latest flagship device from Asus and also the first Asus phone to get stable Android 12.
The company has officially confirmed that the Android 12 update is rolling out for the Zenfone 8 lineup. The vanilla Zenfone 8 got the update with build number 31.1004.0404.73, while the 8 Flip received the update with 31.1004.0404.61 version. And the update size is around 3GB. It is being released for Zenfone 8 users who are currently on the stable channel. If you have opted for beta, it may take some time for stable Android 12 to arrive on your phone.
Talking about new features, it brings the new Material You based theme similar to Google Pixel phones. We donโt currently have the full official Zenfone 8 Android 12 changelog, but some parts of it are available.
