Apple TV+, a popular streaming service and hub for Apple originals and sports content, is now available on Android devices, five years after its initial release. The Cupertino-based tech giant has recently launched the Apple TV app for Android devices, including phones, tablets, and foldables. The app is available globally.

The app has been available on various TVs, including Google TV and Apple devices, for quite some time. However, it was not available on Android phones until now. With this launch, users can now enjoy exclusive Apple TV titles on their Android devices. Additionally, users can now create an Apple account directly on Google TV and Android devices, which was not possible before.

Android users can subscribe to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass using their Google Play account. To attract more users, Apple is also offering a seven-day free trial. If you’re considering trying Apple TV for the first time, you can take advantage of free trial and decide if you want to subscribe based on the content quality and collection.

The Apple TV+ offers wide range of popular original titles like Severance, Slow Horses, The Morning Show, Presumed Innocent, Shrinking, Hijack, Loot, Palm Royale, Masters of the Air, Ted Lasso, Wolfs, The Instigators, The Family Plan, Killers of the Flower Moon, CODA, and more.

Apple has released the app for Android users just in time for Major League Soccer’s 2025 season, which will kick off in a few days. There are already severla live sports events available for users to watch on Apple TV such as Friday Night Baseball and Sunday Night Soccer.

Apple has also shared the features that are available in the Android app, including Continue Watching to resume watching a movie or TV show from where you left off on any device, Watchlist to keep track of everything you want to watch in the future, and download content to watch offline.

The Apple TV app is available on the Play Store and you can download it for free. However, you’ll need an account and subscription to access Apple TV+ content. Apple TV+ costs $9.99 per month after a week trial. Notably, some features like the in-app Store access are not available in the Android app.
