Last month, Apple started testing the watchOS 9.2 beta on the Apple Watch. The firm had already released two beta builds for public beta testers and developers. Today, Apple released the third beta of the upcoming watchOS 9.2 update. Obviously, the update will bring some new features and changes to the watch. Apple is pushing the third beta with a 20S5348d build number and weighs around. The incremental beta weighs 234MB in size, yes, it is smaller in size compared to the second beta build. If you are a developer then you can freely upgrade your Apple Watch to the latest watchOS 9.2 third beta. It will also be available for public beta testers in a matter of time. For compatibility, the incremental beta is available for Apple Watch Series 4 or newer models.
At the time of writing, we’re not aware of the changes coming with the watchOS 9.2. As per the updated Apple Watch Ultra product page, we can expect the Track Detection feature to come with the watchOS 9.2 or it could be released with watchOS 9.3. Apart from that, Apple Watch owners can also expect an international roaming feature coming with watchOS 9.2.
Apple didn’t share the release notes with the beta builds, so any of the above-mentioned changes are not officially confirmed yet but are expected to be released soon.
watchOS 9.2 third beta update
Apple releases a new beta of iOS i.e., iOS 16.2 beta 3, so, if your iPhone is running on the latest beta then you can easily update your Apple Watch to the watchOS 9.2 third beta. Here’s how you can update your watch to the new version.
- At first, you need to login to Apple Developer Program website.
- Then, head over to the downloads.
- Tap on watchOS 9.2 third beta available under featured downloads. Then tap on the download button.
- Now install watchOS 9.2 third beta profile on your iPhone, then authorize the profile by going to Settings > General > Profiles.
- Now restart your iPhone.
Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software.
Now the watchOS 9.2 third beta update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
