Apple has just released the second beta of watchOS 10.4 for testing purposes. The second beta comes out one week after the release of the first beta. As Apple prepares for major changes with iOS 17.4, we can expect the same for Apple Watch with the watchOS 10.4.
watchOS 10.4 second beta is seeding with 21T5196d build number. In terms of size, today’s build weighs 440MB in size. Currently, the update is only available to developers, it should also be available for public beta testers in a matter of time. If you are a developer you can install the new update on your watch right now.
Moving to the changes, then there are a few things confirmed to come with watchOS 10.4, including a Vision Pro setting to disable the double tap feature on the Apple Watch. The update bags several new emojis. Apart from these changes, we can expect some other changes based on iOS 17.4.
As always Apple didn’t mention any changes in the beta build’s release notes, but you can expect a number of changes coming with the next watchOS upgrade – watchOS 10.4.
watchOS 10.4 Beta 2
If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version ofย iOS 17.4 Beta, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 10.4 beta on your Watch.
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap General > Software Update.
- Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 10 Developer Beta or Public Beta option.
- Go back and download the second beta of watchOS 10.4.
- Thatโs it.
Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to WiFi. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software.
Now the watchOS 10.4 beta 2 will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
